Do you love to sing? Please think of joining us!

Musica Viva Singers is a community choir of passionate people who gather weekly to share their love of choral music.  We are thrilled to have Scott Richardson as our music director.

Our repertoire is varied.  Our two annual concerts – in December and early May – often feature a unique theme.  In May 2015, we celebrated the power of freedom songs to help change the course of history with spirituals, folksongs, and opera.  In December our theme was A Green Christmas.  The next concert, on Monday, 9 May 2016, will feature music by young composers from the Elizabethan period to today.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from September to early May at Centretown United Church at 507 Bank Street (just north of Catherine Street).   All are welcome to come and sing with us in September when we will have open rehearsals on Monday evenings September 12, 19, 26.  Doors open at 7 pm; rehearsals begin at 7:15 pm.

With some previous experience singing or playing an instrument, you will likely find it easy to get up to speed.  If you decide to join the choir, Scott will meet with you to determine your vocal range.

We have openings in all sections and are particularly interested in increasing our Tenor and Bass sections. **Student tenors and basses sing for FREE!!

Our choir has openings in all sections but are particularly interested in strengthening our Tenor and Bass sections. For additional information, please contact Eleanor Abra at or by telephone (613)722-2321.
