Musica Viva Singers Celebrate Ontario Folksongs With Guest Folk Legend Ian Tamblyn

SpringPosterWithFolkloreCentreSmall Join Musica Viva Singers to celebrate Ontario’s rich musical heritage ! Led by Scott Richardson and accompanied by Tom Sear, the 60-voice choir takes a trip through several centuries of Ontario folk music, singing of Ontario’s rugged landscapes and the lives of its people through the generations. Musica Viva Singers is also thrilled to be joined by folk legend  Ian Tamblyn who will also perform a few of his own classic songs. The voyage begins with stirring traditional ballads from the days of Upper Canada arranged for choir by some of Canada’s leading composers. It concludes with some modern folk gems from the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, and Wade Hemsworth.

SCOTT  RICHARDSON  is the MUSIC DIRECTOR for Musica Viva Singers, and TOM SEAR is our ACCOMPANIST.
